This is what you can expect in an 8-week dog training or puppy training class at Denali Dog Training School:

• Gentle, effective owner and dog training methods using positive reinforcement;
• A ratio of only five students per instructor.  For example:  10 students, 2 instructors;
• We supply each dog with properly fitted training equipment at the first class, which you keep;
• You can take the AKC S.T.A.R. Puppy test administered by one of our AKC Approved instructors at the end of the Level I course; 
• Each owner receives a complete training workbook with homework sheets;
• One free private lesson for each student is available with Director of Training, Sue Auger;
• Supervised puppy playtime in a safely fenced area;
• Couldn't finish your classes?  Take the next 8-week course at no charge.

With help from our expert dog obedience instructors your dog can:

• Come to you every time when you say, "Come"
  
• Greet people without jumping on them
  
• Stop biting your hands and feet
  
• Walk on a leash without pulling
  
• Stay when you say, "Stay"
  
• Stop barking when you say, "Quiet"
  
• Lie quietly next to your chair at mealtimes without begging
  
• Learn how to alert you to go "potty" outside
  

Our Level 1 course includes a workbook, leash, and training collar which you retain. Level 1 students who do not finish the course are able to attend the next Level 1 course at no charge.

Our classes are taught in heated buildings located in the Pittsford-Mendon /Honeoye Falls area and the Penfield-Walworth area adjacent to Rochester, NY.
